Dr. Konrad Förstner is a researcher in the fields of computational biology, bioinformatics and systems biology where he translates large data sets mainly generated by high-throughput sequencing technologies into biological and medical insights. He is involved in several Open Science activities, is a founding member of the German speaking „AG Open Science“ of Open Knowledge International and represents the German Rectors‘ Conference (Hochschulrektorenkonferenz) in the working group „Research Software“ as part of the priority initiative „Digital Information“ of the Alliance of Science Organisations in Germany. Moreover, he co-hosts the podcast „Open Science Radio“.
