Museum für Naturkunde
Dr. Jana Hoffmann is acting lead of the research programme Digital World and Information Sciences at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin.
She also heads the department Management of Scientific Data which is home of many exciting projects. Her work focuses on innovative methods for interconnecting information in the field of natural history and on developing domain specific information exchange standards in the field of collections data. She concentrates on facilitating the provision and re-use of digital scientific media by both science itself and the industry. Her background in biology and previous research in the fields of taxonomy, phylogeny and systematics of brachiopods grant her strong practical scientific fundaments in the afore mentioned topics.
